Campylobacter

Campylobacter is a bacterium that usually affects the small intestine causing traveler’s diarrhea or food poisoning. Infection occurs by eating meat contaminated with the bacterium frequently poultry. You can also transmit to drinking unpasteurized milk or contaminated water. The symptoms of infection begin two to five days after having been in contact with the bacteria.

Campylobacter causes abdominal pain including cramping, headache, fever, nausea and watery diarrhea.
